A sewer permit provides documentation on what work is to be done, where and by what contractors. The Authority works with the municipalities and their respective building code inspectors, however, both agencies must inspect the sewer work.
The Authority requires a sewer permit anytime work is being done on the sewer line, both the public and the private side. The Authority is required to provide the sewer lead tapped from the main sewer line, but not perform the actual connections of the sewer to the dwelling. The Authority is required to retain drawings of the entire sewer line from the sewer main and the dwelling.
Submit all documentation by email to, gulllakesewer@glswa.org, or email to request a contractor list.

Any work in Richland Township or the Village or Richland requires the KABA acknowledgement to be submitted with the sewer permit.
There is contact information for each municipalities building code inspecting agencies located on the sewer permit. The Authority requires the owners contact information, site plans and plumbing plan for all dwellings, all levels, contractors contact information and liability requirements for the contractor to provide to the Authority. If the property requires a grinder system and connection to the force main sewer line, the Authority will require a meeting with the contractor and owners. All permit and capital fees must be paid prior to issuing the sewer permit.
Submit all required documentation by email to gulllakesewer@glswa.org. The Authority will issue an invoice for the sewer permit and any application capital fees for connections. Payment must be received prior to the permit being issued.
The contractor is responsible for contacting the Authority office to schedule the sewer inspection. The contractor must also contact the agent for the plumbing inspection. The Authority will make every effort to inspect on the same date as the plumbing inspection, and the sewer is not be covered until both have inspected.
Should you have questions please contact the office as soon as possible to avoid any additional costs to the contractor or the home owner.
